Hugs Are Great

Of all the many kinds of hugs we will be talking about the ones
where arms go around another person.
I think a hug is one of the best gifts from God because it is so much
like the Praise and Worship we give to him.
We lift our arms in complete surrender to God, loving him completely.
As our Pastor has said, raising your arms is the
international symbol for surrender.
This is the international symbol for a hug also,
opening your arms in surrender.
Something so simple says I like you, I love you I need a hug,
I need to feel loved.
You don't have to love someone to give them a hug,
but we are called to love everyone.

The great thing about a hug is that you can receive what ever you
need from any hug and you may not even have to ask for one.
Just open your arms in the internationally symbolic way and
someone may hug you.
If you need to say Hi how are you, or if you need
to say I love you, or just feel loved.
You can get what ever you want from a hug;
They always make you feel better.
Even if you don't really need a hug, you feel better and
you can always have one and save it for later.
That is a special effect of the hug that it is saved and the feeling can be
reused anytime you need to feel it again.
So, never refuse a hug when you need one you will be happy
to have extras stored up.

Everyone loves to be hugged, but you just can't hug everyone,
no matter how much you would like to.
It is important to know the person you would like to hug or feel like
they need a hug, then ask them if they could use a hug.
Hugs are free and by far the best thing you can give or receive.
You can use as many hugs as you can get but if you are short of
hugs you can reuse the hugs you have, endlessly.
This feature makes a hug a very valuable thing,
precious always with you.
Even if you need a hug, you always have one with you.
Whether it is a remembered hug or a hug you have
ready to give, they are always there.
It doesn't matter if the hug is with someone you love, like or
hardly know, every hug is beautiful and perfect on it's own.
Every hug even just a "Hello, how are you" hug is all about love.
I hope that all hugs are given in love and received in love.

Even though you only get what you need from a hug, hopefully
you know that I love you is the real meaning.
Whether it is your wife, someone you love very much or
someone you just met, a hug is pure love.
It doesn't matter if you are just saying hello, you give hugs
unconditionally, they all say I love you, I care about you.
We all know that, because we have all been hugged
at least once, and feel loved.
Hopefully, we have all been hugged a lot more
than once and feel loved.
If you haven't had a hug in a while and feel a need for one, find
someone you know and ask them if you can have a hug.
Mostly everyone you know would be more than happy to be hugged.

I did not mean to write a book about hugs,
but they are such wonderful things
to have, to give, to save, to collect, to remember.
I pray that you have a lot of hugs collected already.
If you don't feel like you have friends you can hug or just need some
new hugs, put on a smile and go out and look around.
I have found many people to hug and love at my church.
If you need to be hugged or loved, find a good Christian church
and you will probably be hugged or loved sooner than you know.
Just remember, a handshake is a hug.
You may have to start with a hand hug.

If you would like to find out more about the different kinds of hugs,
such as finger hugs, I am placing a link to The Cricket Story
a real nice short story about the different hugs.
